SKID ROW plus Sister & The Last Vegas

Saturday 25th October 2014

The first rebellion started in 1986. New Jersey kids, punk and metal attitude, determined to conquer the world. All for one, banded together with single-minded purpose. The battlefield was the stage, the songs their arsenal in an us-against-them musical coup d'état. Top Ten singles. Gold and multi-platinum sales. No. 1 on the Billboard album chart. The world was theirs, the rebellion won, until there was nothing left to fight for - so they fought each other. Following an ill-advised South American tour in 1996, the band was finished. But the core camaraderie never died. Skid Row returned to the big stage - literally - opening for Kiss in 2000. Exhilarated to tour with the heroes who rallied them in the first place, the band was reinvigorated by being underdogs who needed to come out fighting to prove themselves. They got older, but Skid Row never really grew up. Rise Of The Damnation Army - United World Rebellion - Chapter Two is still the youth gone wild, their musical spark still burning gasoline. Their rebellion continues. United World Rebellion starts now.
With Special Guests Sister and The Last Vegas.

Ruts DC

Saturday 29th November 2014

Ruts DC return by popular demand following a show-stopping performance supporting The Damned at the venue last year. They were formed in 1981 by the rhythm section and guitarist (Dave Ruffy and Seggs) of The Ruts. The Ruts had had three whirlwind years of success and much critical acclaim - excellent releases included the singles "Babylons Burning", "Jah War", "Something That I Said" and "Staring At The Rude Boys" and the albums "The Crack", "Grin And Bear It" and John Peel Sessions. The famous Radio 1 DJ strongly supported the band's debut single "In A Rut" that was put out by reggae band Misty In Roots as they shared the common fight against racism and the National Front. This gig comes highly recommended for lovers of punk, dub reggae and energetic, hook-filled rock music.
